These last 3 years social media has exploded and I needed some catching up! First of all the definition: Blog (contraction of weblog)!
Missing the Blog class last Thursday has led me to do some research and learning about Blogs on Wikipedia and Google. Now, I have a better idea now about what the purposes of Blogs are, and found out that some people have their own blog which might never even be visited, but just feel proud to have one.
I´ve now found out about a doubt that´s been lingering in my mind since I´ve tried to Google my dog´s blog, but learned Blogs don´t appear on normal search engines... and now I know there are Blog search engines, as well as the different kinds of blogs: collaborative blogs on specific topics, videoblogs, podcast blogs, link blogs, corporate internal or external blogs, personal blogs, and a list of pages with most used blogs. Even found out there are social elite´s blogs where you need an invitation.. ha!
My jewelry blog´s purpose will be used for branding and advertising so I can increase sales! Also for getting opinions on my jewelry designs and see if people like them or can be improved.
